About
I lived in Fukuoka, Japan (on the island of Kyushu) for 20 months during 2006-2008. During that time, I kept a personal blog recording my experiences and what I’d been learning to share with friends and family back home. My blog got pretty popular through search engines, so when it came time for me to apply for jobs back in the U.S. and take my personal blog down, I reposted the most popular entries on this site. I hope that reading this will help you make your decision to move to Japan or not, and survive the culture differences when you’re there!
I wholeheartedly invite you to post your own questions, comments, or experiences. I see a lot of questions on my blogstats that inform me of what people are looking for in regards to teaching and living in Japan, and I’d like to help people find answers.
Good luck and thanks for reading!
